Lompoc To Welcome pianist Andree Juliette Brun

The Lompoc Community Concerts Association opens its season Tuesday November 18 with French pianist Andree Juliette Brun at the Lompoc Theater at 8 15 p m Doors open at 7 30 p m Admittance is by membership card with limited single tickets available Members may attend other Association performances in the area Mrs Harold Cutting and Mrs B N Solovsky are contact points for memberships and single concerts Brun has toured the United States and Europe and previously appeared for the local association in 1962 63 She studied in Paris and has performed in France Italy Yugoslavia Spain Austria Germany and Belgium with a noted career in radio and television She is married to dancer Vladimir Oukhtomsky

Presbyterian Mariners Club Harvest Dinner

The Presbyterian Mariners Club plans its annual harvest dinner this Saturday night with officer elections and new member tie ins. Women of Moose discuss Girl Scout sponsorship duties

Mrs James Millis led Women of the Moose in outlining sponsor roles for a Girl Scout troop in the Lompoc area. The group funds two troops and backs five leaders including Mrs William Wilburn and Mrs Thomas Hinson. Members Wear Meadows and Thomas Cowell joined, with Mrs Robert Kennedy receiving a welcome gift and Mrs Earl Howell a door prize. A November 24 business meeting will feature Norway film showings by Jane Henning.

Lady golfers win Mutt and Jeff tourney at Village CC

The Mutt and Jeff golf event at Village Country Club drew 21 participants this week. Joyce Campbell Evelyn MacLeod and Grace Carruthers led the first flight with top scores followed by Betty Lechner Dorothy Nickolous and Peggy Waller in the second flight. Marian Vesser Irma Henderson Vivian Irvin won third flight as Matt and Jeff rules limited scoring to par three and five holes after handicap adjustments.

Tea to honor mothers of Red Cross Jr volunteers

Junior Red Cross volunteers and their mothers will attend a tea this Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Lompoc Hospital day room. Ameri can Red Cross volunteers host, with Mrs Organ Mrs Dolis and Mrs Gausman greeting guests. A hospital tour and refreshments by Mrs Patey Jr coordinator follow for all invited mothers and juniors.
