Lompoc to Host ABCL Valley of Flowers Bridge Tourney

Lompoc hosts the Valley of Flowers Sectional November 14 16 at Veterans Memorial Hall with about 150 players from across California. Lowell Andrews of Los Angeles directs the event for the ACBL local chairman Marvin Stoor oversees operations. Open play features men and women pairs plus multiple master and team events across three days with a Lompoc style barbecue offered between sessions. Halloween party for youths hosted by Youth California Council

The Youth California Council for Retarded Children hosted a Halloween party at the Pentecostal Church 200 E Chestnut on Wednesday night for 22 children. The Boy Scout troop 56 assisted with decorations and activities including games, songs and refreshments.

Toastmistress Club meeting to feature four point program

The Golden Greek Restaurant hosts the Toastmistress Club for its annual public relations meeting this Thursday. Holiday House Bazaar Opens With Thanksgiving and Christmas Goods

The Lumen Vitae League hosts the Holiday House Bazaar at 217 W. Ocean Ave this Friday and Saturday November 7 and 8. Hours run 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Children’s Home Society of California. Items include turkey pinatas, Christmas decorations, wreaths, angels, and home crafts. The event features a children's corner with games and toys and a baked goods center.
