Hijacked Flight Crew Criticizes FBI After Capture

The four original crew members of TWA Flight 85 arrived in the United States voicing sympathy for hijacker Raffaele Minichiello and condemning FBI actions at Kennedy Airport. Captain Donald J. Cook Jr. said the FBI overstepped authority, noting moments of danger during refueling and the jet’s flight. The crew described Minichiello as calm during the ordeal and said they would have feared for their lives had the FBI acted differently.

Woman Refuses Talk On Missing Brother In California

Betty Fouquet 26 and her 31 year old common law husband were questioned about the eight month disappearance of Jeffrey Sandown eight year old brother of the 5 year old girl found abandoned on a freeway divider. Sheriff deputies questioned the couple after finding the girl abandoned and digging in the Fouquet backyard.

Deputies traced four Azusa children after double-edged razor blades were found in apples from Halloween loot. The kids Gina Sebastinalli 11 James Christie 6 Agnes 9 and Laura 10 retraced their route to find the source. A home with a large party was identified as the likely origin. no suspects yet.

Poll Says Gentlemen Still Prefer Blondes

A London survey of 200 British bachelors ages 16 to 25 finds nearly 75 percent favor blondes, with brunettes and redheads trailing. Seventy-two percent eye a woman's legs first while 22 percent value a pretty face and 6 percent a large bust. over nine in ten would marry a woman who earns more, and 2 percent would allow public nudity.

Talks with GE set to open negotiation

The 22,000 member United Electrical Workers Union planned to begin talks with General Electric Co officials to reopen negotiations later this week aiming to end the nationwide strike now in its second week. Since GE contracts expired, about 147,000 workers at 33 states have been off the job after a walkout began October 26.

Honeymoon Strain Bubbles Between Murphy and Cranston

California Senator George Murphy sharply attacked Senator Alan Cranston over an Ameri can contingency plan for Vietnam as the Republican State Central Committee wrapped up a three day convention in Anaheim. Murphy said Cranston should be ashamed of himself for disclosing the plan while stressing his own non involvement. The event featured strong GOP support for Murphy Reagan and Agnew amid debate on strikes and university fire Angela Davis and other political disputes. Murphy announced a December health checkup at Scripps Institute in La Jolla as he counters speculation on his future.
