New bank president chosen for First Valley Bank
Robert Stevens has been elected president and managing officer of First Valley Bank of Lompoc. Terrill F. Cox announced the appointment noting Stevens left First Western Bank in Woodland Hills to assume duties. Stevens, born December 12 1932 in New York City, holds degrees from Brigham Young University and NYU and has 15 years in banking. He has led branches for United California Bank Bank of America and helped launch Goleta Savings and Loan as VP. He serves on the California Bankers Association Region Seven board and is active in local Civic groups. He and his wife Maxine have two daughters Stephanie and Suzanne.
