Halloween Night Falls Quiet in Lompoc Area 1973
Halloween in the Lompoc area saw fewer trick-or-treaters and minor incidents. Eggs struck two houses, a trash bag burned on South O Street, and pranksters placed firecrackers in mail boxes in south county. A highway spill near Gaviota Pass dumped tomatoes from a truck driven by Ignacio Candelaria of Oxnard with no serious injuries.
