Animals to join Santa in Lompop Parade 1969
Santa Claus and an Animal Safari headline the 1969 Children’s Christmas Parade in Lompo, November 29, with four trained animals from Ted Derby’s Animal Kingdom in Buellton. Dogs, tigers, wolves, and a bear will perform after the parade and candy will be distributed. Entry forms are due by November 15 at the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Quadruplets celebrate 40th birthday in Beaumont home
The oldest living US quad quadruplets Anthony Bernard Carl and Donald Perricone celebrated their 40th birthday in their birth home on Oct 31 1929 in Beaumont Texas. They were joined by their five brothers parents and the quads 20 children. Dr John R Bevil who delivered them attended the party. They still reside on Quad Lane named for the siblings.

Man Survives 260-Foot Fall From Golden Gate Bridge
A man who jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge near the south tower Friday afternoon survived a 260 foot fall becoming the fourth known survivor. He gave the name Anna Jester Fleming, 26, of Chicago now absent without leave from a state mental hospital, and was rescued by a fishing boat.
