New ambulance service plans head to board Monday
Plans to assure continued ambulance service in the Santa Ynez Valley and South Coast go before the Board of Supervisors Monday. Special Services Director Frank Gambetta says proposals follow a notice of termination by Santa Barbara Ambulance Co. A new firm could win the county contract and subsidy for Santa Ynez Valley while Santa Barbara Ambulance would keep Goleta Valley and other South Coast areas if it can close its Solvang office.
