Native Daughters honor grand president in Santa Maria visit

La Purisima and Santa Maria parlors hosted Native Daughters of the Golden West grand president Mrs. Everal A. Mallette of Oroville at Knights of Pythias Hall. An 80 member gathering featured a Western barbecue, ranch themed decorations, and a ceremony initiating nine new members.

Herrons announce grandchilds birth

Jr Hi PTA officers honored at luncheon

Newly elected Lompoc Junior High School PTA officers were honored at an installation luncheon at the Colonial Inn. Sgt. Glenn Vallence presided as installing officer. Officers listed span president through auditor with Mr. Hurlbut and Mrs. Shaw recognizing contributors. Plans were outlined for the upcoming eighth grade party and dance on June 5 at the school gym. volunteers were asked to call Mrs. Berry.

Library Friends election and budget meeting tonight

La Purisima Council of Catholic Women will install officers tomorrow night at seven in the parish hall. New officers pledged for the year are Mrs. Joseph Schlaffer president Mrs. William Brong vice president Mrs. Frank Giovanacci secretary and Mrs. Verlin Morehouse treasurer The event follows a parish ladies potluck dinner Attendees should bring a food contribution and individual table service A short film Mission of the Rosary will be shown after the installation.
