Beta Sigma Phi Alpha Alpha Rho Chapter celebrated its ninth anniversary May 19 at Mrs. Cliff Brown’s home. Secret sisters identities were revealed, new names drawn, and retiring officers received discs and stars. Awards honored Mrs. Loerch for perfect attendance and Mrs. McIntosh for best program. upcoming cotton candy sale dates were announced.

Catholic Women State Install Officers Tonight at Church

La Purisima Council of Catholic Women will install new officers in a 7 pm ceremony at the church. Mrs. Andrew Mascsak presides as deanery leader. officers pledged include Norbert Riegel president Karl Braun vice president Joseph Barnacastle secretary Manuel Sandoval treasurer with William Brong as retiring president. A potluck dinner for members and husbands follows in the parish hall.

Earl Calvert Re-elected Leader of Lompoc Concerts

Earl W. Calvert was re-elected president of the Lompoc Community Concerts Association at a meeting hosted by Mrs. James Haven. New and existing officers were named, with membership drive set for October 11 through 16 and a new board member, Mrs. George Valentine, joining veterans like William Keyes and Rev. Richard E. Harris.

Stanford Graduate Joins ISS Co in Cupertino

Marilyn Janet McCabe, a 1967 Lompoc High School graduate and Stanford alumna, has joined Information Storage Systems in Cupertino. She was among 80 Stanford students chosen for a six month Stuttgart Germany study program.
