Slater pushes Goleta zoning suspension over water concerns
Third District Supervisor James M. Slater announced a proposed ordinance to suspend county actions on rezonings subdivisions and general plan changes in Goleta County Water District. The measure targets Goleta after a water election favored bans on new connections and rationing. The board set a public hearing for June 11 and considered an EEB Inc 48 unit Coronado Drive project. The board also approved air pollution data reporting moves and a $27,407 grant to fund air quality staff for north county with concerns over staffing in Santa Maria and surrounding valleys.
