Fiesta Day at the Mission Welcomes Camp Fire Girls

Children serve as flower girls wearing festive costumes for Fiesta Day with flowers from local seed firms. Judges award ribbons in three costume categories. Following parades, winners are introduced on the Mission stage. An 1:30 pm program features Spanish songs and dances by Lompoc children and guests from Santa Maria.

Miguelito Chapter Hosts May Day Visitor Night in Lompoc

Miguelito Chapter No. 176 O E S in Lompoc welcomes Lealis Anderson Deputy Grand Matron 50th District during an East escorted visit. Dignitaries include Ruby Dubler 49th District Deputy Grand Matron and past matron patrons from Santa Maria Santa Ynez Valley Los Olivos and Paso Robles. May Day decor and treats highlighted the evening with music from Lawrence Howerton and a May Day themed dining room. The next meeting is set for May 22 at 8:00 p.m.

Officers to Be Installed at Final PTA Meeting Monday

The final PTA meeting of the school year will be held Monday May 21 after the Lompoc Boys Scouts Court of Honor from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Officers for the coming year will be installed by Mrs. Quintin McCabe.

Mastin Family Leaving Lompoc for Southern California

The Dave Mastin family will move from Lompoc to Granada Hills California. Mr Mastin, formerly with Johns Manville, will join Ramo Wooldridge in Inglewood. They own a home at 11456 Debra Avenue and will relocate after school ends. Susan and Valerie aged 8 and 5 will accompany Mrs Mastin to join Mr Mastin.

In Camp Cooke Hospital Pink and Blue Ward report four births last week. Deborah Jean Page arrived May 12 weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces to Sp5 and Mrs Duane Page of Cambria Air Force Base. Twin girls Jennifer May and Junell Lynn arrived May 14 weighing 4 pounds 6% ounces and 5 pounds 3% ounces to Sp2 and Mrs Thomas Hart. Patrick Seth Chandler arrived May 14 weighing 8 pounds 1% ounces to Lt and Mrs Chandler, adding a son to the family.-
