Craftsmen Dominate Indians In Lompoc Little League Cup Play

Jeff Feeley and Casey Candale homered to lead the Craftsmen to a 19-9 win over the Indians. Edward Brandon was the winning pitcher. In the only other game, the Scorpions beat the Mets 11-5 as Peter Martinez Dale Barthel Rudy Montoya struck out 17. Donald Pacheco doubled for the Scorpions and Clifton Mygatt doubled for the Mets. Tom Borchard and John Neal allowed five hits in the Mets defeat.

Hudson hurls one hitter as Diatoms top Chemical Kids

In Lompoc Tuesday John Hudson pitched a complete game one hitter for the Diatoms in a 7-1 victory over the Chemical Kids. Jim Moe and Joe Hammond had run scoring doubles, while Barthel and Kautz drove in two runs each. Kent Endsley had the Kids lone hit. In other action Mike Bratz tossed a three hitter in the P.D. Pals 8-1 win over the Elks.
