Santa Ynez sanitation district plan filed with LAFCO
The Santa Ynez Sewer Committee has filed with LAFCO in Santa Barbara for a Santa Ynez Sanitation District to cover the town and valley. A report by Ace Southergill notes 1 236 acres within 11 districts. The plan hinges on the high school needing sewer service now and would be financed by the school for an eight inch line from SMID to the school.

Dairymen named as advisors hear annual report
Two area dairymen were elected to the district advisory committee of the California Milk Advisory Board at the May 5 meeting in Santa Maria. Property tax relief funds distributed to California counties
State Controller Houston S. Flournoy announced the final 1970-71 reimbursement of 22,009,156 to California counties for revenues lost due to the business inventories tax cut.
