Nixon Criticized Over Civil Rights Progress Shortfall

The UPI report says the U S Civil Rights Commission faulted the Nixon administration for no major improvements in eight months. It blames the White House for missing civil rights goals and calls HUD's fair housing stance narrowed and weaker. Dellums Says He Would Vote to Impeach Nixon

Rep. Ronald V. Dellums of California announced he would vote to impeach President Nixon over Vietnam war policy. He plans to consult fellow lawmakers before introducing any impeachment resolution. Boost suggested for county bed tax

Judge Lindsay disqualifies himself from Angela Davis case

Marin County judge Alan Lindsay withdrew from the Angela Davis conspiracy case on Magee’s motion, becoming the fifth judge to recuse. Magee and Miss Davis face murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy charges tied to the Aug. 7, 1970 courthouse shootout. Davis may still challenge future judges.
