Representing First Christian Church of Lompoc at the Francisco Torres Conference Center Goleta last week were Maxine Jamison Lillian Taylor and Phyllis Adamson. They enter their second year in office this July at the annual presidents conference of the Christian Women's Fellowship of Christian Churches Disciple of Southern California and Nevada. The purpose is indoctrination of new officers and speakers with backgrounds in ministry. The 1972 73 theme is Interdependence An Uneasy Alliance and the conference theme is Interdependence Linked With Love.
The American Association of University Women hosts its annual luncheon this Saturday at Knights of Pythias Hall. The Vanderbelles, selected by Lois Wishard, perform a light vocal set during the 11 o clock sherry hour with pianist Gwinnie Howard. Members include Helen Valentine Gayle Kendig Joanne Benham and SuEllen Gornall. Frances Dyste Toni Garrett and Sue Zgliczynski report on the California State Division convention in San Francisco.
Xi Lambda Iota Chapter Beta Sigma Phi held a meeting at Winnie Davidson's home titled The Enjoyment of Art. Guests Miss Marsie Browning and Mrs. Lionel Holter attended. A later program The Enjoyment of Music traced music history. Officer installation is planned for May 11 at Mrs Jerry Longs home.
Francine Maria Silva and John Lewis Gally wed May 6 at La Purisima Catholic Church in a ceremony officiated by Rev. John Fitzgerald. The bride, a 1969 Lompoc High graduate, and the groom a 1969 Cabrillo High School graduate serving in the Navy Seabees at Coronado, share home Imperial Beach.
