The Parents Without Partners Club will elect officers this Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Security Pacific Bank’s community room with Eileen Marshall as president and other officers named. The month includes a Mothers Day potluck brunch, a newcomers meeting May 12, a May 15 progressive dance night, La Purisima Mission Fiesta, and optional social activities.
The Lompoc Valley first student composers concert at Cabrillo High School Little Theater features works by the Cabrillo music composition class of Glen Newcomb. The couple will live in Santa Maria. she is a graduate of Arroyo Grande High School and Fay’s Beauty College. he served in the U S Army and works at Gretco.
Santa Barbara County CowBelles will meet next Wednesday May 12 at Lions Inn to decide on two proposals. A possible national name change to American National Cattlewomen is being considered following 1970 directors meeting in Las Vegas. Also proposed is a Fathers Day beef promotion featuring a roast equal in weight to the first baby born in the county. Letters to the Denver office may express views. local groups need not change names if the national change is approved. A 10:30 a.m. board meeting precedes a 12 lunch and 12:30 general membership luncheon.
Episcopal Church Women of St Marys plan a potluck luncheon at noon next Tuesday May 11 hosted by Mrs Robert Petersen at 616 Arbor Vandenberg AFB.
