Nixon to seek Congress guarantee for Lockheed loan
President Nixon will ask Congress to guarantee 250 million dollars in loans to save Lockheed Aircraft Corp from bankruptcy. Treasury Secretary Connally said 288 million from Britain would back Rolls Royce RB-211 engine production for the L 1011 Tristar, warning 1.4 billion already invested could be lost if failure occurs.
