Richard Hersch and Peter Jacobs, scrap metal partners and brothers in law, own Naskra a 12 to 1 Derby entrant at Churchill Downs. Trainer Phil Johnson backed the horse bought for 35000 dollars after a five to six week evaluation. Naskra has four wins including the Everglades and has been scratched from Flamingo and Florida Derby by fever fears. If Naskra wins a party is planned and the owners would celebrate before returning to work.
