Oscar Robertson scored 30 points and added nine assists as the Milwaukee Bucks completed a four game sweep of the Baltimore Bullets to claim the NBA title. Lew Alcindor contributed 27 points while Fred Carter led Baltimore with 28 points in a 118 106 final.

Squaw Valley Bid Rejected by Reagan Administration

The Reagan administration rejected a $25 000 bid to buy Squaw Valley, site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. Parks Director William Penn Mott Jr. said the offer departed from the bid prospectus and did not legally constitute a sale. California taxpayers have invested up to $20 million over the years. operating costs run about $200 000 annually.
