James Ruppert, 40, faces 11 counts of aggravated murder for a mass shooting at his mother Charity Ruppert’s home in Hamilton. Eleven relatives died. Ruppert was arrested after calling police about the incident. Bond set at 200000. preliminary hearing scheduled for April 4.

Ford tours Elk Hills oil reserve to boost civilian military stocks
President Ford arrived in Bakersfield to tour the Elk Hills naval oil reserve as part of Project Independence. Burglar Melts Ice Cream at Stop and Go Store
A would be thief shut off power at 105 North V St Saturday and caused about 400 dollars worth of ice cream to melt. The burglar damaged a rear door but could not breach antiburglar bolts. Door damage estimated at 60 dollars. A freezer of ice cream was ruined.
