Police report two 13 year olds Rick Faber of 1505 West Oak Avenue and John Chingo of 913 West Apple Avenue were apprehended on North H Street after five days missing. Widespread publicity helped locate them. no further whereabouts available since last Wednesday.
A 15 year old Lompoc ninth grader was arrested at home last night and charged with possession of marijuana and narcotics paraphernalia. He was taken to juvenile authorities.
Two cousins, Joseph Hilley aged 18 and Michael Glenn Hilley aged 19, were jailed in Lompoc on $9,000 bail after admitting to filling balloons with oxygen and acetylene and detonating them behind A Street and Chestnut Avenue. No injuries or property damage occurred during explosions reported Sunday and Monday nights.
County supervisors on Monday voted to seek legislative action to amend a section of the Revenue and Taxation Code to clear up ambiguous language. The proposal stems from a Beattie led request and involves property across the county with a rental market basis for fair value.
