The Ko Ki Wan Ka fourth grade Camp Fire unit earned the Lompoc trophy by averaging 76 candy boxes per girl. They celebrated with beach and potluck parties, then March camping at Morro Bay State Park with naturalist talks, rowing, surveys, and Tom Tom ceremonial work.
Clovis Coston received the highest Family Services volunteer award at a recent Awards Coffee. The 5,000 hour Dedicated Service Certificate was given by Col. Harold Goodlad at SAC headquarters approval. Mrs. Coston has 6,000+ hours across several bases. Julia Koberstein earned January Volunteer of the Month after 2,000 hours in four years. Various members received service stripes and hour awards for long-term service to Family Services.
G T Dodd is now associated with Exchange Realty owner Associated H T Frank. Dodd sets his main office in Solvang and will counsel clients in Lompoc and Santa Maria offices. He has five years real estate licensing with residential, income and investment experience. Former Boise Cascade and five years in Lompoc Police Department. He also worked in Aerospace as technician inspector and engineer. He enjoys flying as business transport and belongs to Grace Baptist Church Santa Maria and Christian Business Mens Committee Lompoc.
