Youth climbs tree to two-story roof rescue ends safely

Four Arrested In Lompoc Drug Probe
Four Santa Barbara residents were arrested in Lompoc on a plain drunk charge and suspicion of possessing dangerous restricted drugs. In custody were Louie Calvo Jr. 27 Laura Armstrong 19 and Fredrick Rojo 19. A 16 year old juvenile was turned over to a parent. Police seized a small quantity of pills and capsules for analysis. The arrests followed a report that a car with four occupants knocked down two trees at College Avenue and North H Street.

Dozen Cities Confer on Combatting Oil Actions
Representatives from more than a dozen Southern California coastal cities and Orange County officials met in Santa Barbara for a two day session to combat offshore oil pollution in state and federal waters.
