Board backs flood aid bill boosting state relief to 75 million
Santa Barbara County Supervisors urged strong support for Assembly Bill 76 now amended to provide up to 75 million dollars in state aid for flood damage in January and February. Soldier Returns From 30 Day Leave 15 Months Later
Pfc. Richard Beaty of Porterville California returned to Fort Ord California on a 30 day leave in November 1967 and never received orders. He waited hoping for Vietnam deployment but the discharge date passed. Beaty reported for duty Monday and will be treated as a new arrival while awaiting orders for civilian discharge.
