March meeting welcomed three new members Mines Karl Lehmann Roy Kennedy and Harold Lehane. Plans discussed for Easter week party for long term patients. Craft donations sold in lobby gift shop with baby sweaters booties slippers shawls dolls and flowers. Also available cards and paperbacks. Proceeds fund hospital needs approved by Kenneth Wicks. Joint Sierra Club outing planned to dunes south of Oso Flaco on March 20 with leaders Cathy Jackson and Ralph Baker.

Treasures of the White Hills at Lompoc Museum Exhibit

The Lompoc Museum unveils Treasures of the White Hills featuring fossils and diatom deposits from the diatomaceous earth beds once forming the hills. Johns Manville and Gretco materials are displayed with Chumash artifacts and Navajo blanket art. public visitation begins with a March feature.

Vacationers Return From Islands Oahu and Hawaii

Mr and Mrs Clement F Boyles of 404 N Lupine return from a vacation trip to the Islands of Oahu and Hawaii with stories of beaches and scenery. The couple traveled together and are reported in good spirits.

Ecology theme for Lompoc Valley spring art show

The Lompoc Valley Art Association hosts a three day show at the Lompoc Library March 26 to 28 featuring oils acrylics watercolors and other media. Entries by non members cost 2 each with a cap of two works per artist. Original works only. Prizes include ribbons and three original paintings to be given away to members with tickets. A free drawing for children offers an original painting.

Escort Night Party Highlights Magic and Music in Lompoc

Lompoc Community Woman's Club hosted its annual Escort Night at Lions Inn last Saturday. About 50 attendees enjoyed a 6:30 pm cocktail hour, a buffet dinner, and lively entertainment including the Ray Castillo Trio, Eleanor Edminston, Leslie McIntosh, and Mr. Magic Harry Banard. Door prizes went to Geneva Moreland, Helen Kolding, Leah Kolding, and Kermit Hover, with many club members listed as guests.
