Friedman a violin virtuoso shines in community concert

A longtime performer Erick Friedman headlined the Community Concert Association finale with pianist Lowell Farr. He opened with Vita Li Chaconne, then Lachal Chaconne? He delivered Symphonie Espagnole, then Schubert Duo in A major, followed by Bach Fugue in G minor and Saint Saëns Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso. Four curtain calls closed the memorable evening.

Mission Vieja 4-H Club hosts Mexican fiesta for youth

Mission Vieja 4 H Club members hosted a Mexican fiesta at Lompoc Sportsman Club from 6 to 8 p m with tacos burritos guacamole fruit punch and ice cream. Prizes went to Valerie Tykeson and Howie Lukk for best dressed girl and boy. Cindy Lukk won door prize.

Joe Ostini Silver Anniversary Party Held at Santa Rita

The Joe Ostini family hosted a silver anniversary party for Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ostini of Santa Rita on Sunday March 2. About 100 guests attended at their home hosted by children Edward Donica and Kenny Summers guests included Mr. and Mrs Lan Summers. The couple married February 26 1944 and have run a ranch together.
