Christian Growth series offered by local churches at Peace Lutheran

The Key 73 program hosts a six week School for Christian Growth at Peace Lutheran Church 1000 West Ocean Ave for adults and older youth. Registration is $1. Second session March 13 with weekly classes through April 10 from 7 30 to 9 30 p.m. A 30 minute break for refreshments. Peace Lutheran welcomes four new members this Sunday

Peace Lutheran Church will receive four new families at the 10:30 a.m. service led by Pastor David Miller who will sermonize on Two Fistfalls of Silver. A coffee hour follows on the church patio and more church activities are listed for the week.

Holland to explain Episcopal structure at St Marys Church

A presentation on the structure policy and polity of the Episcopal Church will be given Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the St Marys parish hall by Clark O. Holland, former diocesan officer. The session is part of the Inquirers Class and open to all. Vestry are urged to attend.

Children's Home speaker to visit First Baptist Church

Ms. Jean H. Hancock of the Children's Baptist Home Inglewood will speak at First Baptist Church 220 West Cypress Ave this Sunday at 11 a.m. She will share ministry glimpses with life sized pictures of children. The home, run by American Baptists of Southern California, serves youngsters from Los Angeles County. Dr. Charles L. Rhodes supervises the Inglewood facility at 7715 Victoria Ave. Miss Eva Jacobs leads the local Women’s Missionary Society. Pastor Earl R. Berg preaches at 7 p.m. on the Second Coming series with a small pictorial for attendees.
