Curtis Sphar of 206 S E St says he will move due to the unsightly condition of a neighbor's house at 213 S E St. Frank Piemme of 214 S E St plans to move for more living space as the planning commission rejects proposed property nuisance abatement powers after a 200-person public hearing.

Infant Spence and Mrs Garcia Obituaries Lead Lompoc Notices

Funeral services are pending at McPeek Family Mortuary for infant Spence daughter of Mr and Mrs Stan Spence of 203 S N St. Carmen O Garcia 70 died yesterday at Lompoc District Hospital with services at Las Purisima Catholic Church. Water Commission Meeting Discusses Lompoc River Basin

City Water Commission will meet at City Hall tomorrow at 1 30 p m. Chair Virgil Phelps will discuss water supply for Lompoc and Santa Ynez River basin and related matters. FY 1971 72 water division budget will be presented.

County approves funds for child abuse program and asked future support

County supervisors approved a 3080 appropriation for the Children's Protective Society child abuse prevention program through June 30. They noted interest in private funding for July 1 onward as the group becomes a nonprofit.

Board plans to rezone portions of ranch

The Board of Supervisors moved to initiate rezoning of parts of the former Hollister Ranch west of Gaviota and to revoke a use permit granted to MGIC Equities Corp. of Milwaukee last fall. MGIC had not approved a county contract to develop the property and seeks another use. Repeal of the planned commercial zoning is requested.

Final witness disputes orders in My Lai killings case

Jeffrey LaCross testified that Capt. Ernest L. Medina did not instruct soldiers to kill villagers and that Lt. William L. Calley was present but did not ask questions at the briefing. Calley faces charges of premeditated murder for the My Lai village killings in March 1968. A radio operator previously testified he never heard Medina order to "waste" villagers.
