Valley hosts 13 Japanese wrestlers on cultural visit

A touring team of 13 young Japanese wrestlers and five coaches arrive March 20 for a five day cultural exchange in Lompoc Valley. Hosts include Lompoc Rotary Club and local high school families. The Lompoc Record notes a Mustangs home game against the defending NCAA champions USC Trojans at Cal Poly next Friday. Tickets at Tag's Sporting Goods are 1.50 for adults and 1 for students. USC holds four straight NCAA titles and nine national crowns. Simpson posts a 3 1 record this season as he prepares to face Anthony Davis Rich Dauer and Ed Putman. Duke Felde and Dave Heckaman from Cabrillo move to four year competition with Cal State Fullerton and Chico State respectively. Heckaman caught 19 passes for 255 yards last year.
