Signs Alert Goleta Officials to Possible Illegal Displays
County Planning Dept will notify Gary Lee and William Leech, co chairs of the Downtown Goleta Businessmen Association, about three of eight by four foot Welcome to Goleta signs erected last Saturday that appear illegally placed. Signs found on Fairview Ave, Hollister Ave, and a county road right of way lack permit. Potential penalties include fines up to $500 and up to six months in jail per violation.
