Smog Fighting Mechanics Join CHP at Inspection Sites

Moon dust theft ends with anonymous tip find

A vial of 2.3 grams moon dust stolen at a fund raiser was found in a mailbox after an anonymous call. Two off duty officers watched $25,000 in diamonds on another floor of Bullock's when the theft occurred. UCLA loaned the sample for the charity event. NASA said no display clearance was sought. FBI and Los Angeles Police Chief Edward M. Davis will continue the probe.
