Democrats warn Reagan on taxes amid budget dispute

California Democrats warned the public that a tax increase remains likely despite Gov. Ronald Reagan's claims. Planning actions tilt Goleta Valley and Montecito growth

County Planning Commissioners approved Stan Tatum’s mobile home use east of Lompoc with a one year limit or until a permanent home is built. They also set a July 21 General Plan hearing for Goleta Valley rezoning for a K Mart, granted a Vincent Animal Hospital permit, deferred Stoke Casa Dorinda aging home and care home ordinance revisions, supported film location regulation, approved a 31 unit Montecito condo plan, denied Southern California Gas Co. offices, and referred to public hearing. Funeral services set for Harold A. Davis at 10 a.m. Monday. burial at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery with survivors listed. Theft reported of watch from Velma Steinke home

Police say a watch valued at 500 dollars was stolen from the home of Velma Steinke at 100 N. Z St. A second item notes both drivers, Charles A. Brown and Barbara J. Ouimette, escaped injury in a two car collision at Chestnut Avenue and H Street with moderate damage. Leon A. Johnson of Lompoc was commissioned in the US Air Force after ROTC training at Oregon State University.
