David Clark earns dean’s list honors at Missouri

David Michael Clark of 4163 Arcturus Ave. earned a 3.8 GPA and dean’s honor list at the University of Missouri at Columbia during his freshman year. He is a 1972 Cabrillo High School graduate and a member of the Marching Mizzou Band which traveled with the football team including a Fiesta Bowl trip to Phoenix.

Indian Maiden awards honor Nation Chief at YMCA ceremony

Dial Social Club elects officers and members set for August 18 barbecue

Charles Guest of Lompoc Central Office is elected president of the Dial Social Club. Timothy J. Ryan, Surf Central Office, is vice president, Robert Morris, Lompoc Central Office, secretary treasurer. Directors include Eagar, Feliz, Guevarra, Haley, and Stalker. A barbecue date was set for August 18 at Ryan Park. Contributions from Spencer and Underwood were recorded.

June potluck honors WWI veterans in Lompoc

World War I Veterans Barracks and Ladies mem meet at Veterans Memorial Hall for a June luncheon. Flo Anthony and Eleanor Howell arranged table decor while the Ladies Auxiliary received thanks from Veterans Hospitals in Fresno and Palo Alto for gifts including 12 hand crafted lap robes 29 post operative mitts T-binders loin cloths scuffies and bibs.
