College approves pay hike and tentative budget

Allan Hancock Community College trustees vote 4-1 for a five percent pay raise for instructors and classified staff, with a 25 cent hourly raise to 8.75 while rejecting a step increase and a masters pay hike. The tentative budget is 5.944 million dollars with a ~50 cent tax rate, possibly reduced by Sacramento legislation. County balances FMIS plan amid budget approval

County supervisors expect formal approval of a proposed 163000 dollar FMIS project on July 2 after discussions with Auditor-Controller Paul Floyd.
