Lompoc California June 11 1969 The county supervisors rejected Sun Oil Company's request for a right of way over an offshore trust area for pipelines to a proposed oil drilling platform in Federal waters. They said granting the permit would conflict with the county's pending anti oil action in Federal court. The plan would place submarine pipelines 6150 feet from a Ventura County location near Carpinteria to an offshore lease. Supervisors noted reports that Sun Oil's Ventura plant bid had not been approved. Conservation groups including Get Oil Out protested the request.
