Ghost Town Trip Planned by Lompoc Society

Lompoc Historical Society invites members and guests to a Sunday outing to Loomis Ghost Town on Tar Springs Ranch. Car caravan departs 1:30 p.m. from Lompoc Theater lot. reservations via Anne Calvert at 736-5044. Loomis family hosts barbecue at 4 p.m. priced 4.50 for adults 2.25 for children under 12.

Flower workshop aids alpha club junior flower show

The Alpha Club hosts a junior flower arranging workshop this Saturday for ages 5 to 15 at the Alpha Clubhouse 708 E Ocean Ave 104 m to 5 p.m. Participants should bring a sack lunch a container and a frog or pin. Five sub themes for junior table displays include Childhood Memories and Picnic in a Park with restrictions on 12 inch arrangements. Best of show trophies will be awarded and entry registration runs June 28 3 9 p.m. and June 29 7 8 30 a.m. The event is free.

Lompoc centennial themed dance saluted by YMCA group

YMCA dancers present a one hour program titled Lompoc's the Theme to honor the city's centennial. The show at El Camino Elementary School starts at 7 30 p m with free admission. Dancers include Stephanie Bailey Marcia Wertz Kathleen O Neill Julie King and others in two scenes The Old West and Flower Fields with Bonnie Hudson guiding the group.
