County election office targets 50 000 to 100 000 new registered voters

The Santa Barbara County Election Office aims to add 50 000 to 100 000 registered voters before the November General Election. County Clerk Recorder Howard Menzel and aide Bob Kirkpatrick announce a Voter Outreach Advisory Committee and a postcard registration system. The panel will meet at 2 p.m. in the Conte Kandianaties Building with broad community representation including League of Women Voters, senior groups, migrant education, handicapped groups, and party committees.
