Boy found alive after 4 day disappearance in Casper Mountain woods

Kevin Dye, 9, missing since July 18 while playing near a church camp, was located two miles from the disappearance site by Mike Murphy, 25, in Casper Mountain wilderness. Doctors expect a full recovery after severe weight loss and dehydration from the ordeal.

Prince Charles makes first parachute jump over English Channel

Prince Charles, 22, became the first British royal to parachute from an RAF plane. He floated 1200 feet into the Channel, laughing and grinning as he was fished from the water by a Royal Marine boat. Spectators lined the shore and boats watched as he parachuted in the training exercise with RAF personnel.

West Coast longshore strike ties up 150 ships

About 150 ships were stuck in West Coast ports, with 45 anchored in San Francisco Bay, as ILWU members walked off July 1. The union seeks higher wages, pensions, guaranteed weeks, and a two-year contract, and predicts a two to three month continuation.
