Heart Benefit Nets $1000 For Santa Ynez Valley Group
A Monday night fundraiser at 735 Alisal Road Solvang hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Chip Hanly netted at least 1000 for the Santa Ynez Valley Branch of the Santa Barbara County Chapter of the American Heart Association. 126 attendees paid 1575 in tickets, with an auction bringing 500 to 600. Construction to Begin SY Museum Wing in Santa Ynez
A new wing is set to start within two weeks at the Santa Ynez Valley Historical Society Museum on Sagunto Street. Mrs. T M Parks and Mr and Mrs Edgar L Janeway donated a 50 by 200 foot lot west of the Santa Ynez Library and will fund a large fireproof building to house wagons carriages and harnesses valued at 100000. The wing will feature a Spanish tile roof heavy beams and wooden double doors, completing the quadrangle plan. contractor is Ewald Skytt of Solvang.
