County Board Discusses Filming Fees at Santa Barbara Courthouse
The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors may set its own daily fees for film crews using the historic County Courthouse as a set. Supervisor Frost advocates a possible 5000 per day top rate for large commercial projects with a sliding scale and potential no charge for educational filming. Previously, officials noted producers often paid voluntary sums, but those “honorariums” were well below the suggested rate.
