Beef price freeze defended by Nixon officials

Tentative teacher salary pact reported

The Certificated Employe Council and Assistant Superintendent Alice Milligan reached a tentative agreement on teacher salaries after private session negotiations. The top masters salary reportedly rose to about 16000 with starting pay near 7900, a roughly 4.5 percent package plus fringe benefits. approval by the teachers’ council is slated for late August. Classified employees have already accepted a 5.5 percent increase, including a 4.5 percent wage rise and fringe benefits.
