Los Angeles Dodgers beat St. Louis 4-3 in 15 innings as Steve Garvey drove in two runs, including the game winner on a 15th inning double off Wayne Granger. Doug Ray earned the win after four innings of relief.

Littler Leads St. Louis Classic After Six Birdies

Gene Littler shot six birdies in a late surge to a two round total of 132, holding a one stroke lead over Lee Trevino, Bob Goalby, and John Schroeder. Trevino posted a 64 in round two to climb to 133, matching his two round total from last year. Trevino also paused to greet his children who joined him on the fairway.

Strokes Mark Deane Beman and Others in St. Louis Classic

The U S men junior 400 relay clocked 39.6 seconds at Skra Stadium Warsaw to break the world junior mark for the second time in a week.
