Morton walks out of Dallas camp seeks trade or retirement

Morton, longtime Cowboys quarterback hopeful, left the Dallas training camp and requested a trade. He warned he would quit football if no deal could be reached. Roy, Monte Roy and Bolinger in Minor League Batting and Pitching Notes

Roy Thomas of the Rocky Mount Phillies lost a 1-0 decision to the Kinston Yankees as he pitched seven innings with 10 strikeouts in the doubleheader game. Monte Bolinger of the Modesto Reds posted a 9-for-39 stretch over 11 games, with eight runs scored and one RBI. Roy Howell of the Pittsfield Rangers collected six hits in 19 at bats with a three run game on June 27 in a 9-2 win over Quebec.
