The Craigs family including Mary and Larry toured Springfield Colorado where Harley grew up visiting the abandoned schoolhouse landmark. They flew Wichita to visit relatives then toured Colorado Springs Manitou Springs and Denver including the Air Force Academy and Pikes Peak. The third annual Valley of the Flowers invitational golf tournament will be a two day event at Village Country Club on Wednesday and Thursday August 5. A free practice round is set for Tuesday August 4. Invitations have been mailed and 120 players are invited. Luncheon will be served on both tournament days and a cocktail party and victory dinner with prize awards are planned.

Lompoc Beautification Push Adds Color to Ocean Ave Corner
Flower Power Action Committee sponsored by Lompoc Chamber of Commerce Women's Division plants a 13,800 square foot corner lot at Ocean Avenue and H Street with gazanias osteospermum and shrubs. The mini park on North H Street features grass and flower plots by Camp Fire girls. Community groups, clubs, and volunteers including Alpha Club and Lompoch Boys Club support the effort with fundraising, materials, and ongoing maintenance.
