Catholics push for tax aid to parochial schools gains momentum

National Catholic Educational Association data show 26 states introduced bills this year to aid nonpublic schools. Connecticut Rhode Island and Pennsylvania enacting or expanding programs to subsidize teacher salaries and secular instruction while New York Massachusetts and others study or limit constitutional challenges. UPI notes federal aid demand and bus transportation remains the most common public support.

Jehovah's Witnesses to hold seven day assembly at Dodger Stadium

Lompoc Congregation members depart for a July 14 to 20 convention in Los Angeles drawing delegates from all 50 states and 17 countries. Local services paused two weeks as 8,000 volunteers arrange housing and travel data while volunteers staff information booths for attendees.

Bible Baptist Youth to Lead Sunday Service
