Detour to decouple George Johnson aids Lompoc decoupage revival
George Johnson a leading Lompoc scratchboard artist leads a wave of artists reviving decoupage. He researches the medium before teaching City Recreation Department classes and uses items from family memorabilia to create serving trays wall plaques and decorative panels. Johnson works with jigsaws cutouts and reproductions to craft four paneled triptychs and transforms mirrors into usable art pieces.
