Lompoc trustees seat Steiger Jacoby and set budget plan
The Lompoc Unified School District will officially seat Gail Steiger and Richard K. Jacoby as trustees elected in April to start the 1973 74 fiscal year. The board will adopt the district budget of about 13 million dollars and set August meeting dates and liaison duties. In a separate case Steven Louis Janos 23 pleaded guilty to armed robbery of the Stop and Go Market and faces sentencing July 27 in Santa Maria Superior Court. co defendant Robert Steven Henderson 21 also pleaded guilty and faces the same date. Both are from Lompoc and were arrested May 10 for the May 9 incident.

France issues final warning before nuclear tests
United Press International reports France issued a final warning before its nuclear tests in Mururoa Atoll. Notam air warnings and a 60 mile security zone around the site were announced with 8:01 p.m. EDT Tuesday start for aviation and shipping restrictions.

Small plane crashes off Goleta Point in Santa Barbara Channel
A Piper aircraft carrying five people crashed shortly after midnight about five to seven miles off Goleta Point in the Santa Barbara Channel. Coast Guard helicopters and vessels searched the area, aided by Anacapa and the Pacific Ranger, while fog and near zero visibility hampered the search.

Survived by widow Wanda, daughters Carol Lynnann Lorraine Kay and Mrs Ray Burch, and one grandson. A scholarship fund is requested in lieu of flowers.
