Lompoc Council Lifts Hiring Moratorium in Special Meeting

Lompoc to Hold Public Hearing on Regional Sewer Plant

The Lompoc City Council schedules a July 17 hearing at City Hall with Brown and Caldwell to discuss the Lompoc Valley regional wastewater system. Plane Crash Injures Man Near Santa Ynez Airport

Cliff Thompson, 32, of West Covina, suffered a back injury when his single engine plane crash landed in a field near Santa Ynez Airport after an engine failure. He was taken to Santa Ynez Valley Community Hospital and then to a San Fernando Valley hospital. Denise Thompson was uninjured.
