FCI escapees captured in San Diego after ride in area
A second FCI escapee Lon W. Dailey age 21 was captured in downtown San Diego two hours after David L. Waters 25. Both fled in an FCI truck and reportedly abandoned it then possibly stole a car. Police check reports of stolen vehicles as part of the investigation.

Savings filched by a mouse in Claremarris home
Pat Boyle reported saving of 384 pounds hidden under a bedroom floorboard in Claremarris Ireland. Police tore up the boards and found only tiny scraps of notes and a bloated mouse carcass that had evidently fed on the savings.
