The Sierra Club postpones the January 26 Santa Rosa Valley outing to February 2 at the Parks and Recreation meeting room C Street and Ocean Avenue. The Lompoc Chapter of the Cancer Society provides the film.
A seven mile clam hunting beach at Pismo Beach is closed due to raw sewage from a damaged treatment plant and will stay shut for several weeks. In Lompoc a roof raising benefit for the Girls Club is postponed due to weather, with a new date to be announced. Final plans are under way for the Lompoc YMCA Membership Enrollment Campaign starting Feb. 3 with chapter leaders and team captains named.
A Spanish language film addressing uterine cancer will be shown at the Mothers Helping Hands Club meeting on Monday January 27. All interested women in the community are invited to attend the 10 a.m. presentation.
